Bleaching gel starts working in 5 minutes. It contains the same active ingredient used professionally by dentists (the bleaching action of peroxide) to whiten and brighten teeth, gently lift away stains and reduce yellowing in a strength developed for at home use. The claims are true. This whitening gel gets your teeth really white. It starts working immediately and you can see a difference with the first application. After using it for 3 to
4 days, your teeth look amazing! I like to use the sports mouth guards ($.96 cents at Walmart) as mouth trays. Just follow the directions on how to form them to your teeth. It is very easy to do and cheap!. Most dentists charge about $300.00 to get a custom tray made. I usually get two - one for my top teeth and one for my bottom teeth. I put the gel in the trays and either shower or put my makeup on. If you get some on your gums it might burn a little, but it goes away in a few minutes. If you have sensitive teeth, you may want to brush your teeth with sensodyne for a few days before using any whitener because you can sometimes get what they call zingers. It feels like a sharp, immediate, intense pain right down the length of an individual tooth and it is painful. I have never really had a problem but some people have more sensitive teeth. I love this whitener because it is inexpensive and it really works! ( By the way, the sports trays from Walmart can also be used as a night guard if you grind your teeth when you sleep. It works - and again, you don't have to pay a dentist to make one for you.)
