CHANEL VITALUMIERE

  • SPF 15
  • COMES IN 9 SHADES
  • $55.00

THE CLAIMS:

Instantly revitalizes the complexion upon application and throughout the day. The formula is specifically targeted for dry, dull, and uneven skin. It also has moisturizing agents to provide hydration. A marine extract boosts cell energy to enhance radiance, and light-reflecting pigments smooth away imperfections, creating a soft-focus effect. Creamy and luxuriously lightweight, this essential foundation blends effortlessly for perfectly smooth even-toned radiant skin.

THE INSPECTION:

MAC 187 Stippling Brush
This foundation goes on extremely smooth. It is very luminous and provides light to medium coverage depending on how you apply it. It does need to be applied with a foundation brush or stippling brush or you may end up putting too much on. It gives your skin a healthy glow, and does not settle into any wrinkles. It is definitely for dry or more mature skin. As far as the claim for smoothing away imperfections, my opinion would be that you need to already have quite good skin for this foundation and use a heavier concealer for the imperfections. I use shade 40 beige. It works well on a medium skin tone especially if you are lightly self tanning the rest of your body. Overall- a very good foundation for dry, mature skin that has few imperfections. Do not pick up the bottle by the top as it will pull off and you will drop it.  A bit pricey.
