THE INSPECTION:

My favorites in this are the Beach Plum and Tickled Pink.  These two are the most pigmented than the others, although they are all more pigmented than most tube lip glosses. They are pretty moisturizing and they stay on for a few hours before you need to apply again. They are all very flattering colors, glossy, and smell really good!  Hate the price!

THE INSPECTION:

This cuticle cream smells so good!!  It smells like a limeade slushy.  It is very moisturizing on the cuticles and makes your nails look freshly manicured. The texture is like a lip balm and you put in on with your fingers.  It comes in a really cute tin and I like that it's all natural.  The only negatives are that you have to use your fingers to put it on, so if you don't wipe it off it can get on your clothes, and if you push the top down on the tin too far, it is extremely hard to get back off.  Other than that, I like it a lot!

THE INSPECTION:

The color persimmon is a great dupe for mac color cream or benefit high beam highlighters. It's a neutral shade that looks a lot like mac "shell" highlighter.  In fact, when I  swatch both on my hand to compare, I can't tell the difference between the mac and the e.l.f.   Hmmm, $17.50 or $1.00?  I love when I can find a good dupe for a high end product!  I apply it on my cheek bones or over a lipstick. It gives a nice "dewy" look.  It is easy to blend once you warm it up with your finger and stays on all day.  It smells a little like oranges and the size is really cute!

Best nail polish I have ever used!  This polish goes on so easy and quick because of the great formula.  It's self leveling so if you mess up while applying it, no worries because it will correct itself.  It drys fast and stays on for a couple of weeks before you need to change it.   My favorite nail polish!

Great lipstick!  They are creamy, go on smoothly, and have high pigmentation! My favorite is Fantasy. They stay on for a few hours unless you are eating and drinking, and they don't feel dry. Some of my higher end lipsticks don't stay on as well as this.  I love e.l.f.!!

THE INSPECTION:

Save your money with this product.  The only difference I noticed was on the palms of my hands.  It stains them and it's a little hard to remove.  I put on 3 coats of this and still only noticed a very slight color.  Not enough for the time I put in to apply it.  It does smell good.

Love this pen!  It's so easy to use and it makes your nails look really healthy and finished.  It works instantly on dry cuticles.  I love all the vitamins in it and how convenient this is.  It takes seconds to put on so it's a great last minute product to keep in your purse.  Instant results!!

WHAT'S UP WITH OFFICE LIGHTING?

Does this ever happen to you?  

You put your makeup on in the morning and you feel pretty good about it.  I mean, we're not makeup artists, but we know what we're doing, right?  One last look in the bathroom mirror before we are off to work.  Wow, I should be a makeup artist!  Only to open your compact at your desk to see a totally different look.  What happened?

 

FLUORESCENT LIGHTING! 

Most people do not look good under fluorescent lighting. This harsh, unflattering light casts a greenish-blue hue that changes the way colors look, gives your skin a washed-out sickly appearance, and makes small imperfections more noticeable.  GREAT!!  I started doing some research on this to find out the dos and dont's for makeup at the office. This is what I found out:

Foundation Makeup 

DO

Wear a foundation makeup that has warm golden undertones to counteract the cool tones of the fluorescent lights.  Avoid foundation with pink tones because it will make your face look muddy.  

Cheeks and Lips

DO

Colors like pink and red are enhanced by fluorescent lights and can appear too bright.  Stick with warm, natural shades, like peach, or rose for your blush color and apply it sparingly.  Use sheer lipstick or gloss in medium tones on your lips for a natural look.  Earth tone colors, like taupe or beige, look muddy under fluorescent lighting. 

Eye Makeup 

DON'T

Apply your eye makeup carefully because too much color or sharply defined lines can look harsh under fluorescent lights. Choose light eye makeup colors, such as rose, gold and peach, to avoid looking garish.  Avoid blues and grays because these colors tend to look washed out and dull.  Use black eyeliner and mascara sparingly because it can look too harsh. You can use brown eyeliner or combination of brown and black mascara for a more natural look.

Skip the Bronzer

DON'T

Even though you want to warm up your face, avoid bronzing it!  Fluorescent lights enhance the orange hue within the bronzer, which will make you look like an oompa loompa.  Instead, use a natural shade of blush to add warmth and life to your face.

Fake a Little Moisture

DO

Using a cream blush instead of a powder can add a little bit of creaminess to your skin.  Also, dab some clear gloss over your lipstick to make your lips look plump, and try cream highlighters to give your cheeks a little bit of dewiness.
